July Article by Srdja Trifkovic

Go read Subservience to Islam: Postmodern Dhimmitude by Srdja Trifkovic, July 19, 2010. Any time you have a chance to read an article by Dr. Trifkovic, it is worth doing so. He is intelligent, educated, an excellent writer, and really understands Islam and the threat it poses to the West.

This is not a blanket endorsement of or agreement with everything he writes, but what he writes, I try to read.

Facebook Group: Justice for Terrance Yeakey

I started a new group on Facebook called Justice for Terrance Yeakey. Here is the (slightly edited) post explaining the purpose of the group.

Police Officer Terrance Yeakey was one of the first responders on the scene of the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995. He worked heroically in the aftermath of the bombing; eventually, he received awards and honors for this. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and was preparing for a final interview to join the FBI, when he was found dead; his death was ruled a suicide.

His method of suicide was rather bizarre. Apparently, he:

- beat himself up severely
- slashed his own wrists and arms
- stabbed himself in the neck on both sides
- tied himself up with rope leaving rope burns
- may have dragged himself behind his car
- handcuffed himself and dragged himself from his car to a place over a mile away
- shot himself in the head with a pistol from an angle of 45 degrees above horizontal without leaving any powder burns
- uncuffed himself and disposed of the pistol, and
- left his own body in the middle of nowhere.

Some of our suicidal hero's last thoughts include these, written in a letter to a victim of the bombing who had been questioning the official story surrounding the events:

"The man that you and I were talking about in the pictures I have made the mistake of asking too many questions as to his role in the bombing and was told to back off..."

It is my hope that this group will attract people who think for themselves, and who question what they are told. I most emphatically hope that they will question what they are told by me, as well as by others.

At my profile and on my blog, I have the following statement:

"Only in the crucible of free debate can fallacies be burned away and the truth become known; anyone who seeks to limit the debate seeks to impose upon us a lie."

For this reason, the group membership is open to anyone. That includes people with strange, even silly ideas; that includes people whose purpose is to deceive others, bury the truth, discredit this group, and perpetuate what is obviously a lie.

I am not afraid of this; I invite it.

Anyone can step outside and see the Sun goes around the Earth. It took people with intelligence and insight, and above all with courage, to question our understanding of the world around us and come to a different conclusion: the Earth revolves around the Sun, and rotates about its own axis. This radical, revolutionary idea was threatening to society, so its adherents needed the courage to challenge everything they believed and everything they were told by those in power - despite persecution by society and government. This idea was one of many crazy ideas that have floated around over the centuries, but it was true, and ultimately, the truth prevailed.

Similarly, the official story of what happened in Oklahoma City is not totally true, which means that at least part of it is a lie - a lie that we are expected to believe, literally under threat of death.

The message behind the execution-style torture-murder of OCPD Sergeant Terrance Yeakey is obvious: "If we can do this to him and get away with it, we can do this to anyone and get away with it." When you consider what Sergeant Yeakey's murder might have helped cover up, the message becomes far more ominous.

My message to those responsible is the following:

This crime against Sergeant Terrance Yeakey goes far beyond the murder of one man. It goes far beyond the murder of a cop. This is an attack on the very best of America's Thin Blue Line; this is an attack on what is right with our system. This is an attack on everything that makes America worth living for, and this is an attack on everything that makes America worth dying for. As the Lord lives, this crime will not go unpunished; you will be brought to justice, and your criminal organization will be brought to its knees.

One of my Facebook friends is already a member. That makes two of us. If you have a Facebook account, please join. It's been just over fourteen years since Sgt. Yeakey was tortured and murdered. Justice has been denied by government lies long enough. We need to let the guys who did this know we're on our way.

Government = Force

An interesting post at The Liberty Papers has this vid:

The post finishes with this (hyperlink reproduced from the original):

Let's put aside the whole debate about whether or not taxation is legitimate or if it is theft and consider the bigger message. Perhaps George Washington, the father of our country himself said it best:

'Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action."

Government = Force. Keep this in mind next time you want to ask the government to "do something" on your behalf.

Revolutionary

Workingclass Conservative is an interesting blog, well worth the read. I try to stop in a couple of times a week - more if there is a debate going, like there is now. The blogger, JMK, is very knowledgeable, and it is generally educational to read his viewpoints.

Having said all that, JMK characterizes himself as a conservative.

I have often considered myself a conservative, as well, and have generally voted for conservatives.

However, I can't help but wonder, what is it we are conserving?

In the comments to a recent post there, we addressed Islamic law regarding pedophilia, at which point I called attention to the self-serving power that is Islamic law. The conversation evolved somewhat as JMK mentioned draconian punishments and their impact on serious crimes. Included was a mention of homicide rates in some Islamic countries.

At that point, I kind of launched into the following tirade:

It's not so much the hypocrisy of Islam as it is the hypocrisy of humanity. The people in charge are always happy to have draconian laws that they know will never be applied to themselves.

I support our Constitution, including provisions against cruel and unusual punishments. I believe some of the interpretations of that provision have become extreme, and are being used to prohibit punishment itself, not just punishment that is cruel and unusual. However, I support our Constitution.

Since I support our Constitution, and quote the founders of this country, that makes me a candidate to be a right-wing terrorist.

Since I meet these criteria, I must be some kind of enemy combatant.

Since I am an enemy combatant and terrorist, I can be tortured to divulge information that will prevent an attack on the US.

Since I would never do any such thing, no such attack will occur and, once I have been subjected to rendition and torture, the fact that no attack has occurred will be proof that the draconian and unconstitutional methods used were a success, and that Constitutional protections against them are counterproductive.

So, can we try to help the government employees, whom I accuse of corruption, treason and other high crimes and misdemeanors, find me quickly and begin the waterboarding? The sooner we get this started, the sooner we can prove how well this lovely new system works.

And don't try to say that wasn't where you were trying to take this, because, once this Pandora's box is opened, your desires are irrelevant, as what you have chosen is at hand. That is exactly where this is going - an out-of-control government beholden to affluent and powerful special interests keeping its people in subjugation to maintain the tyrrany of a status quo - and the founders of this nation knew that very well.

By the way, the homicide statistics from these exemplary Muslim countries... do they include honor killings and stonings as homicides? Or is that conveniently overlooked as the price one pays to have a moral society free of pedophiles like the "prophet" who started it all?

Islam is only against raping children the way the Bush-43 administration is against torture: they conveniently define what they do to be legal, despite all evidence to the contrary. Such is the abuse of power against which our Constitution guarantees the right to defend ourselves - if we have the wisdom and the courage to do so.

In response to a previous comment by another commentator, I had the following to say:

"Conservatives"?

What is being conserved?

The status quo, wherein big business rapes us economically, then gets our money via government bailouts?

The status quo, wherein our children are dumbed down in government-run schools for which we must pay regardless of whether we use them or agree with them?

The status quo, wherein corrupt government officials trample on our Constitutional rights in the name of national security, while selling out our national security to the highest bidder?

I am not a conservative.

I am a revolutionary.

As George Orwell said (see sidebar for link):

"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

Around the Blogosphere

While I am researching and working on new posts, may I suggest that you take a moment and check out some of the other blogs out there?

One of my commentators, J. Michael Kearney, left some very interesting commentary at my previous post. As you can tell from the links, he is quite a thinker and writer. The most recent post at his blog is well worth reading and consideration.

Helmand Blog is updated frequently, telling us the story of British troops in Afghanistan. Please swing by and thank them for what they do and wish them well. The posts there are quite interesting.

Sibel Edmonds can be found at her new location, Boiling Frogs. Great podcast interviews can be found there, as well.

There are plenty of other good links in the sidebar - check 'em out!

Meanwhile, thanks for stopping in, and I'll have some new material up soon.
